THE STAR OF DAVID HEBREW SCHOOL offers a traditional program of Hebrew knowledge and Jewish customs and rituals. The school's goal is to ensure our children understand and treasure the uniqueness of their identity and to give them practical knowledge to conduct themselves according to the Jewish traditions in their adult years.
The curriculum emphasizes oral and written Hebrew, Jewish Holidays and basic knowledge of daily prayers and services.
The School was established in 1976 to address the need for supplementary Jewish education for families in the eastern and southern parts of Ottawa and now the school has a number of students from Ottawa West as well. Some of our graduates became successful Jewish figures in Ottawa.
